CFI Medical Solutions wins the 2010 SBA Award

FENTON, MI: Long-time Linden resident and owner of Fenton's Contour Fabricator's, Inc. Dick Weaver is being honored Tuesday, May 25th, 2010 at 7 pm by the U.S. Small Business Association. Weaver is accepting the award for "SBA Small Business Subcontractor of the Year – Region V" for the Midwest and will learn if CFI will be named "National Sub-Contractor of the Year."
A 10th grade drop-out in 1952, Weaver was personally handed his high school diploma by Flint's Charles Stuart Mott in 1963. Weaver and his wife, Carol, have been residents of Linden since 1966. He is an active member of the 100 Club of Flint, Spring Meadows Country Club, and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
President Obama is slated to present Weaver and the other winners with their awards during a White House ceremony Tuesday evening. Attending the three-day long celebration with Weaver and his wife is their son, Greg, who brokered the Lockheed-Martin contract leading to the regional honors.
Contour Fabricators, Inc. employs approximately 120 people at their two Fenton sites. In Genesee County since 1973, CFI manufactures medical equipment drapes, radiology positioning aids and, most recently, carbon fiber components for the medical and aircraft industries.
